Armenistis Lighthouse & Mykonos Island Combo Tour
Begin your journey at the iconic Armenistis Lighthouse, locally known as Fanari (“Lantern” in Greek), a sentinel overlooking the Amenistis area and a symbol of Mykonos’ maritime heritage since 1891. To reach the lighthouse, we take the scenic road from Agios Stefanos, just 6.5 km from Mykonos Town, offering some of the most spectacular views on the island. The lighthouse tower stands 19 meters tall with a focal plane at 184 meters, and the mechanism of its first lamp is on display at the Aegean Naval Museum in a traditional 19th-century building near the Three Wells (Tria Pigadia) in Mykonos Town. From Armenistis, the panoramic views of the new port and the surrounding islands—including Tinos—are breathtaking, providing a perfect introduction to the island’s history and beauty.
After visiting the lighthouse, we depart from the Port of Mykonos to explore the island from a unique perspective, discovering traditional landscapes, authentic villages, and historical landmarks.
Highlights include:
-
Panoramic Photo Stop of Mykonos Town – capture the iconic view all visitors must see
-
Agios Ioannis Small Port – visit the historic church and the Saint’s cell, and learn about the annual fair celebrated here. Observe local fishing boats safely sheltered from the island’s northern winds
-
Mykonos Airport Panoramic View – enjoy a chance to see planes taking off or landing
-
Ano Mera Village – pass through one of the island’s most traditional agricultural regions, witnessing small cultivated fields and domestic animals on local family farms
-
Monastery of Panagia Tourliani – guided tour of the monastery and its chambers
-
Open-Air Market – glimpse fresh local produce in the village square
Next, we continue to the Mykonian Spiti Farm, where you will experience the island’s rural charm up close. A 10–15 minute presentation on Mykonos’ wine production highlights the island’s viticulture traditions, grape varieties, and winemaking techniques passed down through generations. Guests may also enjoy a light snack or optional tasting of local farm products.
The tour concludes with a scenic drive past some of Mykonos’ most remote beaches, including Kalo Livadi, Kalafati, and Agia Anna (no swimming included), before returning to your hotel or chosen drop-off point.
