After your pick-up from the hotel or cruise ship (*), we depart at 10:30 AM from the Port of Mykonos for a scenic island tour, offering a unique and authentic perspective of Mykonos. The journey combines traditional landscapes, local culture, and breathtaking viewpoints.
Our first stop is one of the island’s most iconic locations—perfect for capturing panoramic photos of Mykonos Town and its sparkling coastline. We then continue to the charming small port of Agios Ioannis, named after the chapel dedicated to Saint Ioannis. This picturesque bay, steeped in history and Cycladic character, serves as a sheltered anchorage for local fishing boats, protected from the island’s strong northern winds.
Next, we drive past Mykonos Airport, enjoying a panoramic view of the runway and, if luck allows, witnessing a plane take off or land. Leaving the airport behind, we enter the Ano Mera region, one of the island’s most traditional agricultural and livestock areas, where you will see small cultivated fields and domestic animals on local family-run farms.
We reach Ano Mera Village, where the vibrant village square and the Panagia Tourliani Monastery await. Your guide will take you through the monastery’s historic chambers. In the village square, a local produce stand offers a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, reflecting the island’s authentic rural lifestyle.
The tour continues at the Mykonian Farm, where you will experience the island’s rural charm firsthand. Enjoy a short 10–15 minute presentation on local wine production, learning about Mykonos’ viticulture history, grape varieties, and traditional winemaking techniques. For those interested, a light snack featuring local farm products is available.
As the tour winds down, we drive past some of Mykonos’ most beautiful and remote beaches, including Kalo Livadi and Kalafati (note: swimming is not included). The tour concludes with a return to your hotel or chosen drop-off location.
