Mykonian Farm Bakery Class with Brunch – Mykonos Excursions

Mykonian Farm Bakery Class with Brunch

This activity is a combination of a traditional baking class and an experience of the traditional animal and organic farming of a Mykonian Farm. Here, we equip our potential or experienced “bakers” with the tools that they need in order to create delicious Mykonian bread. We will focus on mastering the fundamentals as well as discussing traditional techniques as we practice making our bread on our wood oven. Your instructor and host is the best around: Talented and exceptionally passionate about the craft of baking, she is more than excited to to pass along her tips, recipe and enthusiasm.

The activity takes place at the Mykonian Farm, where you will arrive just after 8:00. Your host will greet you with a traditional treat and make you feel welcomed and part of our family. You will then be taken to a specially arranged spot in order to start your baking lesson, and specifically with the kneading of the bread dough, an approximately 1-hour process. When you have finished, the dough is left to rest for approx. 45 minutes, during which time our farm tour takes place. By the time we finish, it will be time to continue with your baking lesson and to shape the bread into its final form. This step takes approx. 1,5 hours and when we are done, the bread in left in the oven for approx. 45 minutes.

When the baking process comes to an end, you will first taste your freshly baked bread and enjoy the outcome of your lesson. Our hostess will also teach you about Mykonian culture, the history of the island’s farming, its livestock and its crops and make you feel just as if you are visiting close relatives or friends. Brunch will be served with all the dishes made of genuine pure Mykonian products and of course all the ingredients are fresh and local. The experience will come to an end at approx. 13:00, when you are transferred back to your hotel.

Great experience on a beautiful smaller farm. Beautiful location, made pizza and bread with Mike, and then had lunch. We were able to interact with animals: donkey, goats, sheep, cool dog. Fun, rustic experience!

A great way to have an experience in Mykonos

Great experience! Chef made it for us! It was just me and my partner and we had the best time making bread and pizza! It was a lovely walk around the farm and we quickly made friends with the farm dog Myko and kitten - Ginger! Well worth a visit! Glad we picked this experience over the others!!

An amazing experience! Mike was a friendly and amazing teacher, with whom we made bread and pizza in a wood-fired oven in their beautiful outdoor kitchen. We were then provided a delicious Greek salad and two of their wines to go with these things for lunch. Mark was an interesting and kind tour guide, and gave us a thorough tour of the grounds, including the chance to feed some of the animals. The setting was absolutely beautiful, and everyone we encountered at the farm was lovely.

Fun with friends

Fun experience. You won't go home hungry. Baked sweet bread, calzones and pizza. We also enjoyed the Greek coffee and wines. Everyone participated and had time to learn about the farm and other offerings.

Everything was great, thanks to the team. A great experience.

Had a fabulous few hours in a small group of just four people making both a traditional and an enriched bread dough. And then eating the results- what’s not to like?! Host was as great a teacher and as funny as we’d read in other reviews. Interesting and informative tour of the, currently, small hobby type farm.

Super fun and friendly. It's especially fun with a group, but we were with three Americans and had a great morning. Big laughs. Great welcome and site visit, very "at home". We ate what we produced at noon and then took away everything that hadn't been consumed (it was very, very well stocked). Good experience

Great Time!

Me and my daughter had so much fun. My daughter loves cooking, so this class was perfect for her. We both learned a lot. Our instructor was really sweet and helped us take pictures. We got a tour of the farm and got to feed the goats and donkery.

Fantastic experience!!!

This was the absolute best way to spend the morning in Mykonos. The farm itself is lovely and the tour contained interesting historical details and demonstrated local agricultural practices. Feeding the animals was fun.
Mike, our head baker was wonderful. We made breads, pizza, dessert pie and pastries. To-go containers were needed! Wine, water, salad and mousaka we also provided. Everything was delicious.
Overall, this tour was absolutely delightful and one that we highly recommend. It was a highlight of our vacation.

An eventful brunch on Mykonos

This was a lovely, fun, relaxing, and tasty experience. A driver picked us up at our ship and took us to this little hobby farm. We made three different breads and pizza that was out of this world in a wood burning outdoor stove. While the bread was rising we took a tour of the grapes and garden and visited the animals. We then enjoyed our brunch with some nice Greek wine. The people we so welcoming and sweet. I totally suggest this tour!
