‘Hike for Adventure’
Mykonos has some beautiful routes for hiking and most of the travelers visiting the Aegean Island do not know that apart from the designated narrow paths which lead to the characteristic whitewashed traditional houses scattered around its villages, they can experience some great walks to enjoy the scenery. Hiking is an ideal way to discover a few remaining authentic corners of the island – the hike from Ano Merá is really worthwhile.
The island is relatively flat and developed with a few donkey paths that make hiking in the Cyclades such a joy. Furthermore, it’s pleasant to walk to many of the beaches along the narrow roads that snake through the sparse landscape. During the spring and summer the land is speckled with wildflowers, and always you have a view of the sea in the distance.
